Zen Boat Hire is based at the historical 14th Century site of Bisham Abbey near Marlow.
Conveniently situated just off the A404 mid way between the M40 and M4 motorways and in a secluded private site, customers can reach us easily from London and surrounding areas, avoiding queues in to a major town.
With plenty of on-site parking at no charge, customers will start their experience in a relaxing and majestic environment.
Bisham is half a mile from Marlow and is located in one of the most lovely, quieter parts of the River Thames.
Our Routes
Our Routes are normally achievable. What can effect route times are waiting times at locks. We have factored average times for this, but on very busy days, customers may have to amend slightly to allow enough time to get back.
Full Day
Downstream – Maidenhead and Back
Approximately 14 miles round trip, with 5 hours sailing time and 2 locks.
Customers will travel downstream past Marlow, Bourne End, Cookham and past Cliveden and turn before Boulters Lock at Maidenhead.
Upstream – Henley and Back
Approximately 16 miles round trip, with 5 hours sailing time and 3 locks.
Customers will experience the beautiful Hambleden stretch and the famous Henley Royal Regatta course.
For people wanting to picnic, we suggest finding somewhere to moor near Temple Island.
Mix – Medmenham, Down to Cookham and Back
Approximately 16 miles round trip, with 5 hours sailing time and 3 locks.
Customers will travel upstream past Hurley in to the Hambleden stretch before turning downstream past Marlow and in to the Bourne end/Cookham Stretch before coming back to Bisham.
